why is it so difficult to find pricing online for a port-a-potty. anyone know the going rate? considering getting one for a larger project we have coming up.

Most vendors price per week rather than per day. You’re looking at anywhere from $75 to $150 per week for a standard porta potty. That includes one cleaning and restocking.

In my experience, companies that provide this provide other site services. They don't give pricing because they want a chance to upsell you on other items. Also they don't want competitors undercutting.

Yeah, pricing can be tricky since it varies by area and company. Generally, you’re looking at around $75 to $150 per week for a standard porta potty. Some places might include a cleaning, too.

Please note that these are average estimates, and actual prices can vary based on:
  • Type of Unit: Standard units are generally less expensive than deluxe or ADA-compliant units.
  • Duration: Longer rental periods may offer discounted rates.
  • Additional Services: Regular maintenance, cleaning, and restocking can add to the cost.
  • Location-Specific Factors: Urban areas or regions with higher demand may have higher prices.
hope this helps!

Yeah, porta potty rental prices seem to be all over the place depending on location and services. Some companies sneak in extra fees for things like extra cleanings or delivery, so it's worth asking upfront. Anyone had luck negotiating a better deal on a long-term rental?

Speaking of job site essentials, what’s everyone’s go-to for keeping crew morale up on long projects? I’ve seen some sites bring in shaded break areas, food trucks, or even small perks like cold drinks. What’s worked best on your jobs?

Good point on the extra fees—definitely worth double-checking the fine print before renting. As for morale boosters, cold drinks and shaded break areas are a must in the summer. I’ve seen crews really appreciate food trucks stopping by too, especially on longer projects. Have you tried anything unique that worked well?

Yeah, pricing can be tricky since it varies by area and company. Definitely worth asking about hidden fees like extra cleanings or delivery charges. I’ve had luck negotiating better rates for long-term rentals—might be worth a try!

Great points about hidden fees—always good to double-check the contract before committing! As for keeping morale up, I’ve seen some job sites set up misting fans and ice chests in the summer, and they were a huge hit. Anyone ever tried adding music or entertainment to boost energy during long projects? Curious to hear what’s worked for others!

Good call on asking about hidden fees, those can really add up fast. I’ve had some luck negotiating a better rate by bundling with other site services, like dumpsters or fencing. Has anyone ever tried going with a local, smaller company instead of the big-name rental places? Wondering if they’re more flexible on pricing.

Good points on negotiating long-term rates! I’ve noticed smaller, local rental companies are sometimes more flexible with pricing, especially if you’re renting multiple units or bundling services. Has anyone had better luck with national chains, or do the smaller guys usually give better deals?

Some great points here! I’ve noticed that smaller, local rental companies can be more flexible on pricing, especially if you’re renting for a longer project or bundling with other site services.

@Dwayne Clark, I’m curious, when you bundled with dumpsters or fencing, did you see a big discount, or was it just a small break on pricing? Also, for anyone who’s rented from both national chains and local providers, which one gave you the better deal in the long run?

All good points on negotiating prices, but has anyone tried DIY alternatives for smaller projects? I’ve seen people buy used porta potties and service them with local waste companies, ever wonder if that ends up cheaper in the long run. Also, totally agree on morale boosters—nothing beats a shaded break area and cold drinks in the summer. Anyone ever bring in a full-on BBQ for the crew?

Some great insights here! Definitely agree that asking upfront about hidden fees is key. @Maxx_03, the DIY porta potty idea is interesting, I'm wondering if it’s worth the hassle for long-term use? And yeah, a BBQ on-site sounds like a solid morale booster! Has anyone actually done that before? Curious how it worked out!

Yeah, porta potty pricing can be all over the place. Best bet is to call a few local companies and ask about hidden fees like extra cleanings or delivery. Sometimes you can negotiate a better deal for long-term rentals!

Yeah, porta potty pricing can be pretty unpredictable. Definitely worth calling around and asking about hidden fees with those extra cleanings and delivery charges can add up fast. I like the idea of bundling with other site services too, might be a good way to save some cash. Has anyone had luck negotiating a better deal with a smaller local company over a big-name rental?
