What are large forklifts called?

Hi all,

What are large forklifts called? I’ve seen some massive ones used for heavy-duty lifting at ports and construction sites, but I’m not sure what they’re officially called. Are there different names based on their size or function?

Hi @Samuel Flores, the really big ones are often called heavy-duty forklifts, container handlers, or reach stackers, especially at ports. If they’re lifting super heavy loads in industrial settings, they might be referred to as telehandlers or gantry forklifts too. Depends on what they’re being used for!
