I recently came across a discussion about forklifts lifting each other, and it got me wondering about what actually happens when two forklifts try to lift each other?

Some questions I have:

• Does it create a balanced lift, or does one forklift overpower the other?
• What kind of stress does this put on the forklifts' hydraulics and frames?
• Has anyone ever seen this happen in real life, and what were the results?
• Are there safety risks or mechanical failures that could occur?

Seen a few guys try this for fun and usually ends with one tipping or both struggling until the hydraulics give out. Definitely not something you'd want to risk on the job!
