I know forklifts require proper training and safety measures, but what are the two most important criteria that must be met before operating one? Are there specific OSHA regulations or best practices that apply?

Good question! At a minimum, the operator needs to be properly trained and certified, and the forklift itself should be inspected before use to make sure it’s in safe working condition. OSHA has pretty clear guidelines on both. Have you run into any situations where a forklift wasn’t being used safely?
