Stay inside the platform at all times. Never lean over the edge or climb on the railings.
Use your tools safely: If you need to carry tools or equipment, secure them properly to avoid accidents.
Don’t overload the platform. Always adhere to the manufacturer’s recommended weight limits.
To lower the platform, slowly reverse the process using the down controls.
Ensure the area below the platform is clear of people or obstacles before lowering.
Once your work is complete, follow these steps:
Lower the platform completely and ensure the lift is on stable, level ground.
Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
Conduct a final check to ensure the lift is properly secured and positioned.
If storing the lift for the day, make sure the controls are locked out, and the lift is parked in a safe, secure location.
Always wear your harness: A fall arrest harness attached to the lift is essential for staying safe while working at height.
Never exceed the weight limit: Overloading the platform can make the lift unstable and increase the risk of tipping over.
Stay clear of power lines: Always maintain a safe distance (at least 10 feet) from power lines and other electrical hazards.
Know the weather conditions: Avoid operating the boom lift during high winds or poor weather conditions that can affect stability.
